        Live Review
Being one of the few bands I particularly wanted to see, it was with great anticipation that I waited for Lordi to come on stage on Friday morning. Opening with the theatrical trailer from their new greatest hits album the members of the band came on stage one to applaud from a crowd that was spilling out of all sides of the snickers stage.

Despite the absence of any pyrotechnics which they are famed for, Lordi still managed to put on a fantastic stage show complete with a skull releasing smoke, Kalma ‘beating up’ one of the roadies with his bass and the big man himself coming on for one number donning a texas chainsaw massacre style mask, apron and buzz saw.

Although the crowd seemed slightly less enthusiastic for some of the lesser known songs, they went wild for some of Lordi’s more popular hits such as Blood Red Sandman, The Devil Is A Loser and Would You Love A Monsterman.

All in all it was an extremely impressive performance with good sound quality and a tight performance by the band. I have no hesitation in saying I eagerly await the band’s UK return.

    Setlist:
    Theatrical Trailer
    Get Heavy
    My Heaven is Your Hell
    Blood Red Sandman
    Pet the Destroyer
    The Children of the Night
    Devil is a Loser
    Would you love a Monsterman?

    Overall Score:   7.5 /10
